Etiology

Food poisoning is easy to occur when dogs eat spoiled and rancid food, stinky meat, stinky fish and yogurt. Diagnostic Points

Staphylococcal toxin poisoning can cause severe vomiting, abdominal pain, dysentery and acute gastroenteritis. Sick dogs are depressed, have heart failure, and have normal or slightly lowered body temperatures.

When poisoning is severe, it can cause convulsions, restlessness, respiratory distress and severe convulsions. According to the antecedents of feeding corrupt and spoiled food, combined with clinical symptoms, the diagnosis can be made.

Treatment

In the early stages of the disease, the emetic apomorphine can be injected intravenously at a dosage of 0.04 mg/kg body weight. Gastric lavage, rehydration and appropriate symptomatic treatment should be carried out if necessary. At the same time, starvation therapy for poisoned dogs, stop feeding. For poisoning caused by Clostridium botulinum toxin, early application of antitoxin serum for treatment.
