Stimulus training

/

Mechanical stimulation training method is also a more effective method of dog training, is the trainer to use certain mechanical means, forcing the dog to make the action of the training method. For example, in the training of the “sit” subject, the trainer issued the “sit” command at the same time, the left hand presses the dog’s back buttocks, when the dog is stimulated by the pressure to make the sitting action, immediately rewarded. Mechanical stimulation can not only cause some of the basic movements of the dog, but also enhance the role of conditioned stimulation. For example, in the training of articulation subjects, when the dog has the performance of automatic spitting out objects, repeat the command “articulation”, combined with a light blow or light support for the dog’s palate, after this combination of many times, it will be able to make the “articulation” of the command to further support the formation of consolidated conditioned reflexes.

(A) The advantages of mechanical stimulation training method:

1. Under the effect of mechanical stimulation, the dog will certainly make the corresponding action, and can ensure that the posture is fixed.

2. If mechanical stimulation is used to support the command, the conditioned reflex that has been formed can be further consolidated.

(b) The disadvantages of the mechanical stimulation training method:

1. Too much or too strong mechanical stimulation to the dog will affect the dog’s attachment to the trainer, and even produce over-limit inhibition. Especially on the negative defense reaction of the dog and puppies have a greater impact.

2. This method cannot train all subjects, especially the sniffing subject cannot be trained with mechanical stimulation.
