How to Name Train Your Dog

/

When you bring your dog home, it’s a pleasure for the family to give it a good name. With a name, the dog can be trained so that it understands and builds up conditioned reflexes.

Name should be short and easy to catch, common dog names such as: snow, black, nyonya, Ben Ben, Ben Ben, Huanhuan, Mao Mao, bright, Bill, Bush, Helen, etc., but do not give their dogs up complex and cumbersome or too long name such as: Lewinsky, Natasha, Schklovsky, and so on. Names that are too long are often confusing to the dog.

Name training should be done when the puppy is eating, playing, so that it can establish the name reflex.

Usually, when a puppy hears a person call out its name, it will turn its head smartly and look around, wag its tail to show that it is happy, and gradually recognize the name. Repeatedly, the puppy will gradually realize that this is its name and will run to its owner when it hears it.

The owner should then caress the puppy or reward it with something. It should be borne in mind not to punish the dog in the name training, because at this time the puppy is nervous, easy to their own name and vigilance associated with, not only failed to correct the wrong habits, but also make the puppy afraid to hear the sound.

When calling the dog’s name, the tone of voice should be friendly, so that the puppy is easy to accept. It should also be remembered to try not to give the puppy more than two names.

Changing the dog’s name at random can cause the puppy to be overwhelmed, misunderstand the true intent, and even later, the dog will simply ignore your call.
