Cover the wound with a piece of sterilized gauze, wrap it tightly with a bandage, and apply pressure with a bandage to these following locations if the blood flow is not stopping:
Forelimbs: Brachialartery – on the inside of the elbow.
Hind limbs: Femoralartery – on the inside of the thigh.
Tail: Coccygealartery – on the ventral surface of the tail.
Head and Neck: Fingers are pressed firmly against the carotid artery that lies between the neck and the shoulder notch.
