Induction training method

/

Induced training method is the most commonly used method of dog training, the trainer uses a certain induced stimulus to cause the dog’s excitement, so that the dog makes a certain action. It mainly utilizes three methods of induced stimulation, namely, food, novel stimuli, and human actions, for dog training.

(A) Food induced method

It is to use the dog’s excitement of food to induce the dog to make certain movements. For example, when training the subject of lying down, the trainer issued the “lying” command at the same time, the food in front of the dog’s nose slowly move downward, and naturally make the action of lying down, and then that is rewarded with food. As a result of this repeated training, the dog has formed a conditioned reflex to the command “lie down”.

(B) Novelty inducing method

Novelty induced method is to use the dog’s searching response to novel stimuli to induce it to make certain actions. For example, when training the subject of “sniffing source”, the trainer will attach the odor to the items that the dog has not touched, and then make the dog sniff, the dog will inevitably make sniffing action out of the search, and the dog will be rewarded immediately after sniffing.

(C) Action-induced method

Action-induced method is to use the action of the trainer or assistant trainer to cause the dog to be excited and induce the dog to make certain actions. For example, when training the “come” subject, the trainer issued the “come” command and then quickly ran back to improve the speed of the dog to come. Bite training, the assistant trainer to make sneaky movements to induce the dog to improve the ferocity of the bite.

(D) The advantages of the induction training method

1.can make the dog quickly form a conditioned reflex.

Pake the use of induced formation of subjects, the dog’s action performance is excited, lively, natural. And can consolidate and enhance the dog’s attachment to the trainer.

2.Any subject that cannot be trained with mechanical stimulation can be trained with this method.

(E) The shortcomings of the induction training method

1.formation of subjects vulnerable to external interference, not easy to consolidate.

Peck on the food response is not strong dog or satiety, with food-induced training will lose its role.

2.Food induction and novel stimulus induction can not be applied to all subjects of training.
